The 22nd edition of NATO Days and Air Force Days was attended by 110,000 visitors this year with the participation of nineteen partner countries and under NATO partnership. Although it was under a cloud for most of the weekend, fortunately it did not rain and visitors were able to see the vast majority of the planned dynamic demonstrations. There were also static demonstrations of various military, firefighting, police and other equipment. In total, nearly a hundred aircraft and a thousand different types of other equipment were on display.
The NATO Days in Ostrava and the Czech Air Force Days have earned a long-standing strong and prestigious position among the NATO partner states, but not only there. Among its visitors and at the accompanying events that are part of NATO Days, you can meet a wide range of high-tech experts and personalities from the command of individual NATO and some non-NATO countries.
The Chairman of the Jagello 2000 Association (the main organiser of the NATO Days), Zbyněk Pavlačík, told us during the interview that he is glad that the Ministry of Defence, specifically the Armaments and Acquisitions Section, has traditionally organised the 4th Armaments Conference as part of the NATO Days this year, which was of great interest and at which the Ministry of Defence informed representatives of our defence industry about defence trends and the current situation.
